Three Eagles linemen get into holiday spirit by releasing Christmas album

Eagles linemen Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are rock stars on the field. This Christmas, they are proving they can do it all by releasing "A Philly Special Christmas," a holiday album, per CBS Sports' Austin Nivison.

The seven-song album will be released on Dec. 23. Of course, the title of the album pays homage to the iconic Eagles play that helped them win Super Bowl LII over the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick New England Patriots.

The cover of the album pays homage to the Vince Guaraldi Trio's album cover of "A Charli Brown Christmas." The classic album cover is redrawn to feature a cartoon version of Kelce, Johnson and Mailata under the Christmas tree instead of Charlie Brown, Linus and Lucy.

The Eagles trio got a little help from a friend. Former Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin is the executive producer of the project, and Philly-based band The War on Drugs drummer Charlie Hall is also a producer.

Legendary Eagles announcer Merrill Reese is even making an appearance on the album. He's reciting "The Night Before Christmas."

Their version of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" will be released on Black Friday as a single to promote the album.

The album was recorded before the Eagles' training camp in July. They stepped behind the mic to belt out Christmas classics such as "Merry Christmas Baby," "Blue Christmas" and "White Christmas" (check out the sneak peek here). Their song covers could make even the biggest Scrooge smile.

All proceeds from the album will go to benefit Philadelphia's Children's Crisis Treatment Center.
