Titans star RB Derrick Henry set to return vs. Bengals

Signs have been pointing to the return of two-time rushing champion Derrick Henry all week, and now things are all but official.

Henry hasn't played since fracturing a bone in his foot in Week 8. He was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 1. The top-seeded Tennessee Titans host the fourth-seeded Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC divisional round at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

The 28-year-old two-time Pro Bowler was designated to return to practice on Jan. 5 and participated in padded practice for the first time in 2022 on Tuesday.

Prior to his injury, Henry recorded at least 113 rushing yards in five consecutive games from Week 2 to Week 6. The former Alabama bruiser had three separate games during the five-contest run in which he scored three rushing touchdowns, and he finished the season with 219 carries for 937 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

Despite playing in less than half of the season, Henry still finished ninth in the NFL in rushing yards and tied for fifth in rushing touchdowns.
