Titans WR Julio Jones ruled out for Week 5; A.J. Brown expected to play

The Tennessee Titans were without their top two wide receivers during their Week 4 overtime loss to the New York Jets and in Week 5, one of them is expected to make a return.

According to multiple reports Friday afternoon, Titans newcomer Julio Jones has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a hamstring injury, while A.J. Brown should be able to play, as he recovers from a hamstring ailment as well.

The oft-injured Jones spent the first 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons, making seven Pro Bowls and two All-Pro first teams, before joining the Titans in the offseason. Jones has led the league in receiving yards per game three times, receiving yards twice and receptions once, but has only played in all 16 of his team's regular-season games four times.

He was limited to five contests in 2013 and nine games in 2020. Jones currently leads all Titans players in receiving yards with 204, while Brown is tied with Chester Rogers for second on the team in targets with 19, trailing only Jeremy McNichols' 21.

The Titans face the in-division Jaguars on the road at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
