The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a sudden change at the head coaching position when Bruce Arians stepped down to take a front-office role.

They did not look far for his replacement, elevating former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles instead.

Arians’ resignation elicited some controversy because it happened days after Tom Brady decided to end his retirement.

After all, there have been allegations that Arians undermined the game plans developed by Brady and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

While going to the bottom of that issue is impossible, the Buccaneers are gearing up for another Super Bowl run.

With Brady returning for his 23rd NFL season, some of the band members like Leonard Fournette and Chris Godwin will help him create sweet music on the field.

Likewise, key additions like Russell Gage, Shaq Mason, and Logan Ryan will help Tampa Bay erase the disappointing ending to their 2021 season.

But as the team gears up for another campaign, Bowles would like to keep his communication with Brady private.

Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times tweeted, “Regarding how much he remains in contact with Brady, Bowles said, ‘I don’t think that needs to be public knowledge, how much me and my girlfriend date. … But we talk. We’re on the same page. We’re in lockstep.’ #Bucs.”

Will Bowles Interfere With The Offense?

He has the last say as the team’s head coach.

However, he is a defensive-minded mentor who would be better off concentrating on that side of the field.

Meanwhile, Brady and Leftwich are more than capable to facilitate the offense.

The trust they have for one another has brought the Buccaneers to great heights during Brady’s tenure.

Therefore, why fix what isn’t broken or why interfere with a system that is working?
