Tom Brady insists he has 'great relationship' with Bruce Arians despite public criticism

Bruce Arians has not worried about protecting his quarterback's feelings, as the Bucs head coach has openly spoken about Tom Brady's struggles this season. But while the criticism has caused some to speculate about the two not getting along, Brady insists that he and Arians have a "great relationship."

"I’ve got a great relationship with B.A. [Arians], and we talk every day," Brady told the Tampa Bay Times. "I’ve got a lot of respect for him and how he runs the team and so forth."

Some may not believe Brady, but given how long the veteran has been in the league, it's not too hard to believe that he knows not to take it personally when he is called out. Plus, while Bill Belichick didn't make a habit of calling out Brady to the media, there's little doubt that he held Brady to a high standard.

Even so, it could be argued that Arians should probably not be talking to the media too much when it comes to his players' shortcomings, as it could be affecting players other than Brady. But he has been mostly accurate in his assessment of the Bucs' offense, as it has not quite reached its full potential despite the plethora of stars on the roster.

Tampa Bay currently has the seventh-highest scoring offense in the league, which is good but a little disappointing when you have the greatest quarterback of all time throwing the ball to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski.
