Tom Brady has not ruled out playing in the NFL again, but the legendary quarterback clearly has interests outside of football. His latest move in Hollywood is proof of that.

Brady has signed on to star in a road trip comedy movie entitled “80s for Brady,” according to Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter. The 44-year-old will also produce the movie through his production company, 199 Productions.

In addition to Brady, the film will star well-known Hollywood actors Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field. The story follows four best friends who take a trip to the 2017 Super Bowl to see Brady play. It was inspired by a true story.

Brady helped develop the project along with Donna Gigliotti of Endeavor Content. Gigliotti also had a hand in “Silver Linings Playbook,” which is another film that centers around an NFL team.

The more we hear of projects like this, the less likely it becomes that Brady will change his mind about retiring. The seven-time Super Bowl champion prides himself on committing as much of his time and energy to his craft as possible. It’s hard to imagine him producing and acting in a movie while also preparing for the 2022 season. Though, at least one fellow star quarterback is not convinced Brady will stay away.
