Tom Brady to throwing coach: 'Football's fun again' with Bucs

Was football getting old for Tom Brady during his tenure with the New England Patriots? It certainly sounds that way.

The 42-year-old is feeling rejuvenated in Florida, and it's no secret his final few seasons in New England were less than ideal. Brady seemed to be fed up both with his contract situation and Bill Belichick's coaching style, but now it appears he's enjoying football again with Rob Gronkowski by his side.

Brady's throwing coach, Tom House, shared some very interesting news surrounding the six-time Super Bowl champion's current state of mind in a video chat with GQ Sports.

“I think the most fun texts we’ve had is when Gronk signed,” House said. “Tom texted me and said, ‘Football’s fun again.'”

Brady's been especially active with Gronkowski and his new Buccaneers teammates. Despite the NFLPA's recommendation to avoid practicing with others amid the coronavirus pandemic, Brady continues to hold private workouts in preparation for the 2020 campaign.

No. 12 has to learn a whole new offensive system for the first time in 20 years, so it's not too surprising that he's ignoring the NFLPA's advice... after all, he is looking for his seventh Super Bowl title.

Brady even posted a photo to Instagram Thursday quoting Franklin D. Roosevelt, showing he's not too worried about COVID-19 despite surging cases in Florida.

If football really is fun for him again, he might want to heed the NFLPA's advice and take precautionary measures to remain safe... or else he may not get a chance to win another title this coming season.
