The Pro Football Hall of Fame revealed its list of semifinalists for the coach/contributor category for the Class of 2024 on Wednesday.

A 12-person committee took the list down to 29 top candidates, although the typical limit is 25 unless there are ties.

The Hall’s committee will now move on to reduce the field to just 12 finalists. Finalists will learn their fates before the end of the month when the committee releases the list on July 27.

Among the 29 semifinalists are New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

As owner, chairman and CEO of the Patriots, Robert Kraft has won six Super Bowls while making 10. His tenure has seen the Patriots weather some of the league’s biggest controversies (SpyGate, Deflategate, etc.) but his impact on the game has been undeniable.

Tom Coughlin served as the first head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars before following in his mentor Bill Parcells’ footsteps with the New York Giants. He won one Super Bowl as an assistant coach and brought home two more as a head coach with the Giants.

Also among the list of 29 semifinalists is Mike Shanahan who won two Super Bowls over 20 seasons coaching. He led the Raiders, Broncos and Redskins during his career.

Another big name on the list is former head coach Marty Schottenheimer, father of Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, as well as John McVay, grandfather of Rams head coach Sean McVay.
