The Cleveland Browns are feeling great heading into Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts because of what they did in Week 6.

The Browns defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a game that shocked everyone across the NFL world. Not many people gave the Browns a chance in the game but the defense continued their dominance.

To get there, the Browns had some players stepped up. It wasn’t the big names that necessarily graded out the best, according to PFF.

LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah - 91.3

The third-year linebacker had five tackles, a sack, a pass breakup, and a tackle for loss against the 49ers. Owusu-Koramoah is coming into his own with improved interior play in front of him. Quick instincts and athleticism are the name of the game for JOK, he’s doing it at a high level.

DT Dalvin Tomlinson - 82.9

Speaking of that improved interior play in the previous paragraph, Tomlinson is a huge part of that. Against the 49ers, a tackle and two pressures on the quarterback. Tomlinson is hard to handle for one guard or center and he showed that.

TE David Njoku - 77.7

Njoku had three catches for 24 yards but it could have been much more. A touchdown was wiped off the board due to a hold after a screen was taken to the house by Njoku. It was the run blocking that PFF graded Njoku high (77.7).

RT Dawand Jones - 73.5

Outside of one sack allowed to Nick Bosa, Jones had himself a game. In run blocking, Jones already looks like a seasoned vet. The sack is the only time that Jones allowed his opposition around P.J. Walker. He badly needs to improve in the run game but the Browns have found a gem in the fourth round of the most recent NFL Draft.

DE Alex Wright - 73.4

Wright’s improvement in his second year is big with how his rookie season went. Wright played well in the run game in 15 total snaps and recorded a tackle. It looks like Wright is going to be a nice rotational piece.
