Top quarterbacks, Jalen Carter among 17 prospects to attend NFL draft

The NFL announced on Thursday that 17 prospects will attend the draft in two weeks. That list will include all four of the top quarterback prospects (Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson and Will Levis), as well as several other likely top picks including defensive linemen Jalen Carter and Will Anderson.

The NFL Draft begins with the first round on Thursday, April 27 and will run through Saturday, April 29, from Kansas City.

Carter is one of the more notable names among attendees given that he recently pleaded no-contest to reckless driving charges. He is still going to be a first-round pick and almost certainly one of the top picks in the draft. He has turned down all visits with teams picking outside of the top-10 of the draft.

The Carolina Panthers own the No. 1 overall pick in the draft after completing a blockbuster trade with the Chicago Bears, sending multiple picks and star wide receiver D.J. Moore to Chicago. It seems like a given that the Panthers will select a quarterback with that pick, but it remains to be seen whether they will take Young or Stroud with that selection.
