Travis Kelce reveals lessons from Super Bowl LV loss

Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce doesn't want to think about the Super Bowl loss the Chiefs suffered  two years ago to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Speaking to reporters for the final time before Sunday's Super Bowl against the Eagles, Kelce said the game wasn't a prideful moment of his life.

That doesn't mean he won't take any lessons from it, however.

"It's good wisdom to have," Kelce said. "As a leader, I don't think I stepped up to the plate as much as I should have in that game. That's where it really burns me. So, I'm just focusing on myself to being able to be the best leader that I can, the best teammate that I can come game day, and not put my team in the position like I did last time we were in the Super Bowl."

That last time was a 31-9 loss to Tom Brady and Co. The Chiefs had defeated the Buccaneers earlier in the season and were looking to become the first team to repeat as champions since the New England Patriots in 2003-04.

Against Tampa Bay, Kelce had 10 catches for 133 yards, but the Chiefs failed to score a touchdown and couldn't dig themselves out of an early hole.

Kelce has often said that the loss motivated him to get back to the Super Bowl. Now that he is back, he appears ready to wash the bad memories away.

Kelce and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, will make history as the first brothers to face each other in a Super Bowl.
