Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Travis Kelce is no stranger to hostile environments. The Kansas City Chiefs have been on top of the league for half a decade now. This means that when the Chiefs come to town, fan bases really get up for those games. In a recent interview with FanDuel TV, Kelce revealed which rival fan base he respects the most.

Travis Kelce Has Mad Respect For The Las Vegas Raiders Fan Base

Travis Kelce loves the energy from the Raiders fan base.

“I love Raiders fans, man,” Kelce said. “Every time I see you guys, we have a great time, man. I have a tremendous respect for not only the Raiders and the guys that I played that are on the Raiders, but I’ll tell you what, the fan base, you guys don’t hold back.

“Man, I love every bit of the ‘boos’ and the ‘you sucks’ during the game. That makes football and the environment that much more fun to play in, man, so nothing but love and respect for the Raiders, man. But you know it’s a war every time we play.”

While some players may fold under the pressure of a hostile environment, Kelce thrives in it and says it makes the game even more fun to play in.

More Of The Same This Year

The Chiefs are coming off of another Super Bowl. I wouldn’t expect the away environments to get any easier to play in. The challenge that every team in any sport has when they win is that teams circle the game on the calendar. Teams lock in when they play the defending champs. It is why it is so hard to repeat. However, the Chiefs have proven that this does not matter to them. The Raiders especially will need their fan base to be really crazy if they are expecting to upset their division rival next season.

Kelce will likely go down as one of the best if not the best tight end in NFL history. What he is able to do year after year continues to amaze fans and analysts. With this interview nugget, the matchup between in the Chiefs and Raiders in Las Vegas might be one to circle for this season.
