Tre’Davious White was a somewhat, but perhaps not vastly surprising cap casualty, after the Buffalo Bills had to make their way out of cap hell earlier this month.
Tre’Davious White Searching For His Next Team
With the mid-season addition of Rasul Douglas, and the contract extension given to slot, Taron Johnson, it seemed like White, who is coming off of a torn Achilles suffered at the beginning of the 2023 season, was always going to be the odd man out for the cash-strapped Bills.
However, with his Pro Bowl and All-Pro pedigree, even if now he is not quite playing up to that same level, he was always going to attract multiple suitors across the league hoping to get a blue chip talent on the cheap.
Now, it seems like White has settled down and chosen his next team for 2024, and perhaps beyond, per Adam Schefter.
Los Angeles Rams Attain Blue Chip Quality At A Position Of Need
In 2024, the Los Angeles Rams surprised many by making a playoff run where they ended up losing to the Detroit Lions by the narrowest of margins.
A year that was supposed to be rebuilding turned into one where they were not a million miles away from competing for the division. And in 2024, the Rams will be hoping to continue that progress, even without the help from future first-ballot Hall of Famer, Aaron Donald.
Now, having had a struggling secondary full of late round rookies and 2nd year players, LA will have benefit of 2 legitimate veterans at both corner positions, Tre’Davious White and returning Ram, Darious Williams.
With excellent offensive weapons, a young defensive line with borderline Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate, Kobie Turner, and now an upgraded secondary, the LA Rams could well be on track to make some serious noise in the NFC.
