After becoming the Cowboys‘ first free agency signing of the offseason, long snapper Trent Sieg took a victory lap on social media with a hilarious Eminem-themed video. The video he posted on X includes the tune ‘Without Me’ by Eminem and features his special teams mates, punter Bryan Anger and kicker Brandon Aubrey. In the video, Sieg’s head is superimposed on the rap star’s face.

“Everybody, Just follow me!” Sieg wrote on X.

The Cowboys are holding on to the veteran long snapper for another season, inking him to a new one-year deal, according to Michael Gehlken. His last deal was for one year, $1.23 million.

Dallas signed Sieg last offseason to stabilize the special teams unit while employing a rookie placekicker. It worked out very well with the veteran playing all 18 games. The rookie kicker, Brandon Aubrey, went 37-for-39 on field goals and 50-for-53 on extra point attempts this season, including the playoff game against Green Bay.

Sieg originally signed with Baltimore as an undrafted rookie in 2018 out of Colorado State. The team released him after training camp, however, and he signed a new deal with the Raiders. He served as the Raiders’ primary long snapper for the next five seasons. He has played in 97 games over his six-year career.

Cowboys see three players walk on day one

Despite being “all-in” for the 2024 season, the Dallas Cowboys had a very quiet first day of free agency. Instead of making any new deals, they saw three players walk away to join other teams.

Center Tyler Biadasz and defensive end Dorance Armstrong Jr. are both joining Dan Quinn with the Washington Commanders. Meanwhile, starting running back Tony Pollard opted to sign a three-year deal with the Tennessee Titans.

Dallas still has a lengthy list of upcoming free agents to consider re-signing, as well as multiple stars who are looking for contract extensions. The list of the Cowboys’ free agents still available includes Tyron Smith, Stephon Gilmore, Jayron Kearse, Jourdan Lewis, Johnathan Hankins, Neville Gallimore, Dante Fowler Jr., Chuma Edoga, Noah Igbinoghene and Rico Dowdle.
