The Kansas City Chiefs have won yet another Super Bowl. This is their third championship ring in the past six years, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes manning the helm. They've been the biggest winner in the sport in the aftermath of the New England Patriots and legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last season against the Philadelphia Eagles, and it was an important moment for the University of Tennessee. Kansas City's victory meant that former Tennessee offensive lineman Trey Smith got his first Super Bowl ring. The Chiefs took Smith with the No. 226 overall pick, which some may view as a throwaway. However, Smith battled through adversity and became the starting right guard for Kansas City.

Smith was ESPN's No. 1 player in the 2017 class and chose Tennessee over several other high-level offers. He spent four seasons with the Volunteers, compiling a decorated resume. Smith was a two-time All-SEC first-team selection and was a second-team All-American in his senior year. Now, he's headed to his second Super Bowl in as many seasons with one of the best franchises in professional sports.
