Two player props for 'TNF' Week 16: Williams and Shaheed worth a shot

This game between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints isn't quite as inviting as some recent prime-time matchups, and a big reason why is the defenses have fewer leaks. However, it does make the potential vulnerabilities all the more clear, and that's powering our two props for "TNF."

Kyren Williams over 89.5 rushing yards (-114 FanDuel)

Expect this to be a popular choice in this one, but that certainly doesn't mean it's not a guy worth backing. Kyren Williams has been on an absolute tear since returning from injury. He's averaging 124.25 rushing yards per game on 22.25 rush attempts per contest in the four games since he came back for the Rams.

Those numbers are truly unique in today's NFL, and that elite volume is something we have to back. The Saints biggest issues are on the ground. They're allowing the 12th-most rushing yards per game to RBs and the sixth-highest yards per carry. For someone seeing the touches that Williams does, he should have no issue finding this number.

His rush attempts line is set at 20.5. In the four games he's taken 20+ totes, he's averaging 123 yards per game, with his lone under being at 88. Expect a big one here from the Rams young back.

Rashid Shaheed over 16.5 longest reception (-120 BetMGM)

The most intriguing option we see when it comes to the New Orleans offense is to target the Rams defense for explosive passing plays. Los Angeles is allowing the 12th-most passes of 20+ yards this year, and they steadily see 3+ big plays most weeks.

Rashid Shaheed is back and represents a fun option to take advantage of this vulnerability. Shaheed is averaging 15.8 yards per catch this season, and a whopping 32.1% of his targets have come 20+ yards down the field.

That role could pay off here, and this line for his longest catch feels too low given how he functions in this offense. If you're looking for a fun bet, look no further. Shaheed is over this line in 11 of his past 19 games.
