Two touchdown bets for NFC Championship Game

The NFC Championship Game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers should be a fun watch, and with an over/under set at 51, sportsbooks are expecting scores. We're in agreement that the offenses should be shining, particularly in the passing game. It's there we turn for a pair of touchdown prop bets in this one.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (+140 FanDuel)

Come on, how are not going to load up Detroit's best offensive player in the most important game this franchise has ever been in?

St. Brown has been a force this season, averaging 7.4 receptions for 94.6 yards/game, scoring 11 times. He's the clear top option for Jared Goff in this offense, and that's a good role to have when facing off against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers have allowed the fifth-most receptions and the ninth-most touchdowns to WRs this year, so naturally, we should expect some receiver production out of the Lions. In a potential trailing game-script, that only looks more appealing, so we load up WR1 in Detroit to find the end zone.

Jauan Jennings (+340 FanDuel)

We'll tread a bit off the beaten path here and look to San Francisco WR Jauan Jennings to score what would only be his second touchdown of the season.

An important reason we're intrigued in Jennings is because of the status of starting WR Deebo Samuel. Samuel was forced out early in the divisional round against the Packers, and early indications suggest he's unlikely to play this weekend.

In Samuel's absence, Jennings played 63% of the offensive snaps, turning six targets into 61 yards. The Lions are one of the best targets for WR production, they rank inside the top-six for every important metric we look at: touchdowns allowed, receptions allowed, 20+ yard passes allowed, and yards per pass attempt.

Brock Purdy and this offense seem likely to attack Detroit through the air, and Jennings's increased role offer us some value on his touchdown prop.
