March Madness is here; it is the time when teams and players make a name for themselves. Of course, everybody knows the top players to watch, but there are a lot of players that should be talked about that will make some noise in the NCAA Tournament.

Kahlaijah Dean Sacramento State

Kahlaijah Dean leads the Sacramento State Hornets in scoring with 21.1 points per game, and she can score with the best of them. She scored 20 or more points 14 times this season, including three 30-plus points games.

Dean shoots 45% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc. She is a big reason why the Hornets will play in their first NCAA Tournament. The Sacramento State Star can score on all three levels and is an 81% free-throw shooter.

The Hornets will be the No.13 seed in the Greenville 1 Regional and will play the No.4 seed UCLA. Head coach Mark Campbell and his staff quickly turned around the Hornets program. A couple of years ago, the Hornets only won three games.

Desi-Rae Young UNLV

Desi-Rae Young leads the UNLV Lady Rebels in scoring and rebounding with 18.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She shoots 59% from the field and is a force in the paint. Young has 18 double-doubles this season, including 12 20-plus points games.

The Lady Rebels won 32 games this season and went undefeated in conference play. In addition, they won the Moutain West and the Moutain West Conference Tournament, and Young was a big part of why they accomplished those fantastic feats.

The UNLV Lady Rebels will be the No.11 seed in the Greenville 2 Regional. They will play the No.6 Michigan on Friday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Head coach Lindy La Rocque has down an outstanding job turning the UNLV program around; with 32 wins, the Lady Rebels should have had a much higher seed.
