Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee received an 80 overall ranking in the upcoming Madden 24 NFL video game.

EA’s newest Madden is set to release on Aug. 18 and in anticipation of its arrival the company has been teasing fans with player rankings.

On the list of top-100 tight ends in the game, Higbee’s 80 overall ranking places him as No. 18 amongst his peers. His ranking is tied with Hayden Hurst, but the latter is ranked one spot higher due to having a better total attribute score.

To no surprise, Travis Kelce is the No. 1 ranked overall tight end with a 99 rating. 99 is the highest rating a player can achieve and Kelce is a deserving individual given the season he had last year.

Higbee fell six spots from last year’s iteration of the game when he was initially given an 83 rating, placing him among the top-12 in the group. The 2022 season was not kind for most of the Rams’ players due to injuries and inconsistent play, though Higbee managed to stay productive as he wound being one of the healthier players on the roster.

Higbee appeared and started all 17 games, reeling in 72 receptions for 620 yards and three touchdowns. His reception and yardage totals were improvements over the previous season, though he scored two fewer touchdowns.

Heading into the 2023 season, Higbee is the undisputed No. 1 tight end on the team with players like Hunter Long, Brycen Hopkins and Davis Allen behind him. Long and Hopkins will battle it out in camp for the No. 2 role, while Allen will likely take the year to develop behind the scenes.

Despite all the roster turnover in the offseason, the offense remains largely intact and Higbee should once again garner his fair share of targets. Cooper Kupp is the undisputed No. 1 option, but there isn’t much proven talent behind him so Higbee could command his fair share of targets.

Should the tight end have a sizable impact on the field, he could very well see his rating rise.

Aaron Donald receives 99 rating in Madden for record seventh consecutive season

Although Los Angeles’ defense will likely take a step back, Aaron Donald remains a constant force that opposing teams will have to account for. Donald is a one-man wrecking crew who can blow up plays in an instant, a testament to his talent and hard work.

For his game-changing ability, Donald was once again awarded a 99 overall rating in Madden. It’s the seventh-consecutive season the star has been given a 99, a record for any player.
