The Uncle Rico memes were out in full force after Gardner Minshew led the Jacksonville Jaguars to another win.

Minshew’s Jags overcame a 17-6 halftime deficit to beat the Denver Broncos 26-24 on the road Sunday and improve to 2-2. Minshew is an eccentric and stylish quarterback who reminds many of Uncle Rico, the character from “Napoleon Dynamite”. Minshew actually met the actor who played Uncle Rico, Jon Gries, during the week as part of a segment for ESPN that aired Sunday.

After the Jags kicked their winning field goal, folks on social media couldn’t wait to post photos and GIFs related to Uncle Rico.

Minshew is so chill that he just embraces all the attention, and doesn’t shy away from the Uncle Rico stuff. He’s backing everything up on the field too, which is most important. He’s hard not to love.
