The dandy days of Drew are long gone in New Orleans. Now, it's the dreadful days of Derek - or at least, that's been the case so far

The New Orleans Saints sit at 5-6 after a Week 12 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Derek Carr has been less than impressive in eleven starts this season. He's totaled 2,545 passing yards, just ten passing touchdowns, and five interceptions.

The offense has squandered tons of opportunities, especially in the red zone. Week 12 was another example of that issue as they went 0-5 in scoring touchdowns inside the twenty. The actually didn't score a single TD in the game, either. Overall, Carr and the offense have been disappointing on an almost weekly basis.

A mind-boggling stat arose after the loss to Atlanta. It involved Carr and legendary Saints QB Drew Brees.

The Saints have already played two NFC South games without scoring a TD with Derek Carr in just twelve games.

That occurrence happened only TWO times in Brees' fifteen seasons with the Saints.

Stats like this one show the consistency provided by Brees and Sean Payton on offense. They simply did not have complete duds - ever. In just over half of a season, New Orleans has already dealt with multiple of those. The offense has too much talent for that to be the case, but changes have not been made.

Carr is not going anywhere, either. The earliest the Saints could move on from the veteran QB is after next season in all likelihood.

New Orleans still has a chance to turn it around, but those chances decrease after every week passes.
