The Vikings have elevated wide receiver Trishton Jackson and outside linebacker Luiji Vilain from the practice squad for Monday night's game against the 49ers, the team announced.

Jackson gives the Vikings another option at wide receiver, where they're without superstar Justin Jefferson for the second of at least four games. K.J. Osborn, Jordan Addison, and Brandon Powell will serve as Minnesota's top three wideouts, but Jackson and N'Keal Harry are also available as depth options.

In last week's win over the Bears, Jackson played four offensive snaps. He doesn't yet have a regular season reception in the NFL. Jackson was signed by the Rams as a UDFA in 2020 and has been with the Vikings' practice squad since 2021.

Vilain adds depth at OLB in the wake of Marcus Davenport heading to injured reserve. Along with rookie Andre Carter II, he'll be available for defensive coordinator Brian Flores behind the top three of Danielle Hunter, D.J. Wonnum, and Pat Jones II. The Vikings will need more than just Hunter to generate pressure against the 49ers and their suspect offensive line, which will be without star left tackle Trent Williams.

Vilain, an undrafted rookie in 2022, hasn't played any snaps this season. He appeared in three games last year.

In other news, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey will play on Monday night, as was expected in recent days.

The inactive lists will come out at 5:45 p.m. central time, which will include updates on the statuses of Vikings CB Akayleb Evans and 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw. It appears the Vikings won't be activating WR Jalen Nailor from IR ahead of this game.
