The Minnesota Vikings won a Week 6 matchup with the Chicago Bears thanks in large part to a dominant defensive performance. No one player better signified that effort than Jordan Hicks.

The veteran linebacker collected 10 tackles, one pass defense, one interception, and returned a fumble for a 42-yard score. Hicks' TD run ended up being crucial in a game where the Minnesota offense was largely ineffective. The Vikings ended up getting a 19-13 win in Chicago.

In lieu of the performance, Hicks was chosen as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Hicks is the first Viking to win a Player of the Week award so far this season.

The veteran LB is having one of his best seasons as a pro. Only Camryn Bynum has collected more tackles than Hicks' 53. Hicks has also collected an INT and two fumble recoveries.

Other POTW winners in the NFC were Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff and Washington Commanders returner Jamison Crowder.

Hicks will look to continue his torrid stretch against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. Minnesota's 21st-ranked scoring defense will have its hands full against a dynamic Niners' offense on Monday Night Football.
