The Minnesota Vikings are preparing to do battle with the Green Bay Packers on Monday night with playoff seeding on the line.

Minnesota will not have young receiver Davion Davis active for the game. He’s split time between the active roster and the practice squad throughout the season.

A report from Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press indicates that the Sam Houston State product was arrested back in October on DWI charges in St. Paul.

The incident report itself is rather alarming for multiple reasons.

“According to the incident report, Davis was driving a 2016 Jeep Renegade when he was stopped by a state trooper at Interstate 94 and Dale Street in St. Paul after being clocked on radar going 81 mph in a 55 mph zone,” the report read. “The trooper observed signs of alcohol impairment and Davis was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while impaired.”

According to the police report, Davis had an alcohol concentration level of .13 percent, above Minnesota’s legal limit of 0.08.

He was ultimately booked on three misdemeanor charges and pleaded not guilty earlier in December.

An undrafted free agent, Davis has been limited to three snaps on offense and eight special teams snaps this season. He’s currently on the Vikings’ practice squad.
