Von Miller emotional as he leaves Broncos for Rams

Von Miller is officially off to Los Angeles to join the Rams, but the eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker is reportedly in a bit of shock from being traded by the Broncos after spending his entire career to date in Denver.

"It's still kind of hard to put into words. It's still kind of raw, but thank you, thank everybody, and off to L.A.,'' Miller told reporters, via ESPN, prior to leaving Denver.

The Broncos and Rams finalized the trade Monday, which sends Miller to Southern California in exchange for a second- and a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Denver will also pay $9 million of Miller's remaining base salary, Adam Schefter reported.

Despite being a regular name in trade rumors so far this season, Miller said he was surprised he was dealt.

"Somebody told me once you want to make God laugh, then make plans," Miller continued. "You've just got to keep going, keep taking it one day at a time. I've got a beautiful baby boy, had a lot of beautiful years here, lot of great memories, lot of great teammates, lot of great coaches, lot of great fans.''

The move is certainly not all doom and gloom for Miller. The Super Bowl 50 MVP is joining a Rams team that is 7-1 and a heavy favorite to punch a ticket to Super Bowl LVI.

Miller will also be joining a star-studded defense that includes All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald.

"I've been a huge fan of Aaron Donald for a long time. They got a great defense," Miller complimented. "I'm excited, always been a great teammate and I'm going to continue to do that."

Miller is expected to make his Rams debut this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
