Los Angeles Rams superstar Aaron Donald is awaiting a new contract, and he’s doing everything he can to show that he deserves the big payday.

Donald recently posted a video of himself on Instagram “playn wit a lil weight” on the bench press:

AKA five plates on each side. Ten plates. Times 45 is 450 pounds. Plus a 45-pound bar. Bam. 495 pounds. When it takes a fair amount of arithmetic to figure out how much weight someone is lifting, you know Donald is doing something special.

The reigning AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year didn’t attend organized team activities this year and held out leading up to last season, but that didn’t stop him from playing at an elite level.

It stands to reason Donald will voluntarily sideline himself again until a fresh contract gets worked out. He’s in the last year of his rookie deal, but could well become the highest-paid defender soon enough.
