Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers were able to get back in the win column with their victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Late in the game, Aaron Rodgers threw a block that was eerily reminiscent of when he tried to block Vikings edge rusher Za’Darius Smith in Week 1. The results, however, were much much different.

As one can see, the block from the Week 10 game against the Cowboys was much better than the Week 1 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers’ overall game was much better as well. He finished with 224 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Cowboys. In Week 1, Rodgers was 22/34 for 195 yards and an interception.

To say that Rodgers is not having the kind of year that is expected of him would be an understatement. It may be surprising, then, to know that some of Rodgers’ stats are among the league leaders, as Zach Jacobson of CBS Sports points out:

Given the Packers’ 4-6 record and the offense’s poor performance all season, this may seem very surprising. It certainly helps, though, that Rodgers threw two touchdown passes of over 20 yards to Christian Watson on Sunday. Additionally, Rodgers has thrown two or more touchdowns in seven of the team’s 10 games. The only games in which he failed to throw two or more touchdowns were Week 1 against the Vikings, Week 6 against the Jets and Week 9 against the Lions.
