AJ Dillon and the Green Bay Packers annihilated the Minnesota Vikings 41-17 on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Packers improved to 8-8 and, with Washington’s loss to Cleveland, control their own playoff destiny. That is to say, if the Packers win against the Detroit Lions next week, they will be headed to the playoffs. Green Bay benefited from a Keisean Nixon kick return for a touchdown and a Darnell Savage pick six. They also got a bullish touchdown run from AJ Dillon, whose score prompted one of the best touchdown celebrations you’re ever going to see.

AJ Dillon scores and everyone celebrates

Early in the fourth quarter, AJ Dillon trucked over several Minnesota Vikings defenders on his way to the end zone. After he had scored his seventh rushing touchdown of the season, Dillon [literally] orchestrated an amazing planned team celebration.

The first bandmates to arrive on the scene were Aaron Jones and tight end Tyler Davis. Jones broke out into a silky-smooth air violin part while Davis rocked the air guitar. Elgton Jenkins, fresh off of signing a huge extension, now can add lead dancer to his resume.

In the back of the band, center Josh Myers was channeling his inner Will Farrell as he bangs on an imaginary cow bell. Zach Tom, on the other hand, was just happy to be there. Perhaps he was the fan that jumps up on stage and needs to be removed by security.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers absolutely rocked out on the air bass guitar, even taking it down to his knees as he jammed along with rest. Perhaps my favorite, though, is the second violin played by third-string running back Patrick Taylor. The reason? He wasn’t even on the field for the scoring play. Taylor ran in from the sidelines to partake in this tremendous musical performance.
