Watch: Announcer drops Taylor Swift reference after Travis Kelce TD catch

After missing the Kansas City Chiefs' season opener against the Detroit Lions last Thursday, All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce made his presence known in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On a third-and-3 from the Jags 9-yard line, Kelce hauled in his first touchdown of the season, which put the Chiefs ahead 14-6. As the 33-year-old celebrated in the end zone, CBS broadcaster Ian Eagle promptly dropped a Taylor Swift reference — alluding to recent reports that the eight-time Pro Bowler has been “hanging out” with the pop superstar.

Eagle, of course, was referring to Swift’s No. 1 song “Blank Space” from her Grammy-award winning, nine-time platinum album “1989.”

Kelce, a noted fan of Swift’s, admitted to his brother Jason, a five-time All-Pro center for the Philadelphia Eagles, during an episode of their “New Heights” podcast in July that he was disappointed he didn’t get to give Swift a bracelet with his number on it before one of her shows.

Per The Messenger, Kelce and Swift, who’s currently in the midst of her record-setting “The Eras Tour,” have been spending time together out of the public eye.
