Watch: Bears TE Cole Kmet makes amazing TD catch

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet made one of the best catches of the season against the New Orleans Saints.

With 11:21 left in the first quarter, Bears rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent connected with Kmet — who made the catch with a Saints defender draped over him — on an 18-yard TD to give Chicago a 7-0 lead.

The Bears offense has struggled this season. Entering Week 9, it ranks 26th in the NFL in passing yards (187.9) and is tied for 17th in points scored (21.4). However, the Bears actually have some talented players, including Kmet. Through eight games, he has logged 35 receptions for 319 yards and three TDs.

If the Bears (2-6) can continue to find ways to maximize Kmet — who signed a four-year, $50M deal this offseason — it can help their inept offense overcome its woes. Also, it takes pressure off Bagent, who is making his third start this season.
