Watch: Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase snags slick one-handed grab over Eli Apple

Ja'Marr Chase is a heck of a wide receiver, and the Cincinnati Bengals are lucky to have him. Chase was drafted by Cincinnati with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and came up huge in his rookie season. In fact, there's good reason to believe that he and his connection to Joe Burrow were one of the main reasons the Bengals made it to the Super Bowl.

With that in mind, Bengals fans have to be ecstatic to see that Chase doesn't seem to be heading toward a sophomore slump.

That is, of course, just based on one clip from practice, but what a clip it is.

Covered by Eli Apple, because of course, Chase used some nifty footwork at the line of scrimmage to create separation on tight coverage. With Apple draped all over him, Chase elevated for a ball that was perhaps just a hair overthrown. He came down with an incredible one-handed grab.

It will be tough for Chase to follow up a season that saw him win the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year award after snagging 81 catches for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. The expectations are sky-high for Chase and the Bengals for a reason, though.

If anyone can do it and get even better in season two, it would be Chase — especially with Burrow throwing him the ball.
