Watch: Cam Newton scores two TDs on first two plays in Panthers return

Cam Newton had a loud message for the world after scoring a two-yard rushing touchdown: "I'm back!"

Newton, 32, signed with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, reuniting with the team that drafted him in 2011. While Newton didn't start the team's Week 10 game after only a few days back with the organization, he was declared active and has been used situationally by the Panthers.

His first play back on the field with the Panthers came on a goal-line situation early in the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals. After struggling to find room in the middle of the field, Newton broke toward the right pylon for a touchdown.

Newton received a 15-yard penalty for removing his helmet to yell, "I'm back," at the cameras and the crowd. The penalty didn't do much harm though, as the Panthers quickly got the ball back. Newton then was brought back in for another goal-line situation. On his second opportunity, he rolled to his right and found Robby Anderson in the end zone for another two-yard touchdown.

Newton is the Panthers' all-time leader in every major passing category and is also the franchise's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. He was named the NFL MVP in 2015 after finishing the season with 35 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing touchdowns.
