Watch: Cardinals' Kyler Murray throws panic pick six to avoid a safety

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's playoff debut got off to an incredibly rough start against the Los Angeles Rams. After falling into a 14-0 hole with four punts on their first four drives, Murray made things much worse for the Cardinals when he panicked in the end zone.

Pinned deep in his own territory, Murray held on to the ball in the end zone just long enough for linebacker Troy Reeder to get into the backfield. Facing the possibility of a safety and a 16-0 deficit, Murray instead decided to lob the ball into traffic, giving Rams cornerback David Long Jr.

Things didn't get any better for Murray on the next drive when he narrowly avoided an interception only to throw his second of the game a few plays later.

The Cardinals entered the playoffs as the NFC's fifth seed after losing four of their last five games to miss out on the NFC West title.
