Watch: Cardinals QB Kyler Murray scores his first TD in 11 months

Sunday’s matchup with the Atlanta Falcons marked 11 months to the day that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray played his last game.

Fully recovered from an ACL injury, Murray made his first start since Dec. 12 and scored his first touchdown since Nov. 27 of last year on a 6-yard rushing score with 10 seconds left in the second quarter that pulled the Cards to within 14-12 after a failed 2-point conversion.

In his first two quarters back after surgery to repair a torn ACL on Jan. 3, Murray completed 15 of 23 passes for 182 yards and he ran twice for 13 yards and the score.

He’s the third different QB to start for the Cardinals in the last three weeks along with Joshua Dobbs, who’s now 2-0 with the Minnesota Vikings, and rookie Clayton Tune, who threw for just 58 yards and was intercepted twice in last week’s 27-0 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Murray’s last touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a 6-yard pass to James Conner in a 25-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last season. Before his injury, Murray threw for 2,368 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 418 yards and three more touchdowns.
