Watch: Chiefs produce emotional goodbye video after releasing Frank Clark

The Kansas City Chiefs cut defensive end Frank Clark largely because of cap reasons on Tuesday.

The Chiefs traded for the three-time Pro Bowler in April of 2019 to help bring a Super Bowl to Kansas City. It's worth noting that Clark did help Kansas City win a Super Bowl—in fact, he helped the Chiefs secure two.

Despite having to release Clark, his contributions to the team were more than worthy of a farewell video.

Clark, who played college ball at Michigan, was a second-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in Seattle and became one of the better up-and-coming pass rushers in the NFL, securing seasons of 10, nine, and 14 sacks in 2017, 2018 and 2019, respectively.

When the Chiefs traded for Clark in 2019, they sent Seattle a 2019 first-round pick, a 2019 third-round pick and a 2020 second-round pick. The only player to come out of that trade for Seattle was L.J. Collier with the 29th pick of the 2019 Draft, and he's had only three sacks and 40 tackles in four seasons—so the Chiefs undoubtedly "won" the trade.

Clark was never the same player in KC, but he was still a valuable, veteran presence and pass-rusher that helped the Chiefs to three Super Bowls appearances and hoist two Lombardi trophies.

He'll leave Kansas City having totaled 23 sacks in four seasons.
