Watch: Colin Cowherd compares Cowboys to Adam Sandler movie

Fox Sports personality and radio host Colin Cowherd clearly wasn't impressed by the Dallas Cowboys' comeback win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

"I don’t go high and low on the Cowboys," Cowherd explained during Monday's edition of "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," as shared by Brandon Contes of Awful Announcing. "They’re an Adam Sandler film. I kinda know what I’m getting. It’s not gonna win an Oscar. Some are better than others. Sometimes you’re like, ' Uncut Gems, that was pretty good!' And other times you’re watching and eight minutes in you’re like, 'they don’t have a storyline'…I don’t get high, I don’t get low."

Opinions on Sandler and/or his movies aside, Cowherd's point is valid considering what he and football fans around the country witnessed this past weekend. A Dallas team that entered Sunday's game as a 17-point favorite needed a late 98-yard drive capped off by an Ezekiel Elliott rushing touchdown notched with under a minute to play to beat a Texans side that fell to 1-11-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, 10-3 Dallas trails only the 12-1 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East standings. The Cowboys will next play at the 5-8 Jacksonville Jaguars this coming Sunday.

As for the film "Uncut Gems," which featured Sandler, Paul Chi of Vanity Fair noted that the film was snubbed as it pertains to Oscar nominations. However, Chi also mentioned that Sandler was named best male lead at the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

The Cowboys likely will accept being somewhat disrespected by Cowherd as long as they hoist a rather significant trophy in February 2023.
