Watch: Cowboys QB Dak Prescott turns would-be safety into 92-yard TD vs. Lions

After throwing an interception on the Dallas Cowboys opening drive, QB Dak Prescott responded with arguably one of the best plays of the 2023 season.

Early in the first quarter, facing a third-and-13 from their own 8-yard line, Prescott escaped a sure safety, breaking from the pocket before finding wideout CeeDee Lamb for a 92-yard touchdown.

Prescott's incredible play avoided what could have been a disastrous start for the Cowboys, who already trailed the Lions 3-0.

Instead of potentially trailing 5-0 with the Lions in possession of the ball, Dallas took the lead and momentum away from the NFC North champs.

The Prescott to Lamb hookup is the longest pass play of the 2023 season and the second longest in Cowboys' history, trailing only a 95-yarder from Don Meredith to Bob Hayes in 1966 for the longest in Cowboys history.

Meanwhile, on the play, Lamb tied Hall of Famer Michael Irvin's single-season franchise record for catches in a season (111).

He would later surpass the record in the second quarter but fumbled possession through the back of the end zone, snuffing out a Cowboys drive.
