Watch: Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb discusses crazy scenario he faced in fantasy football

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb said Wednesday that he had to trade for himself in his fantasy football league earlier this year.

The wild revelation came during an interview with NBC Sports' Jay Croucher and Matthew Berry.

While it wasn't clear if the trade that Lamb made with his brother was a straight-up one-for-one deal to ship off Cincinnati Bengals standout Ja'Marr Chase, the Cowboys star explained that they were the two major players in the trade. Regardless of what type of scoring their league plays with, it looks like Lamb has gotten the better of the deal so far.

Chase has produced elite numbers in 2022, leading the dangerous Bengals offense with six touchdown receptions and ranking second in targets (82), receptions (54) and receiving yards (702) despite recently missing four games with a hip injury. Lamb, however, has been one of the best wideouts both in real football and fantasy this season.

The 2021 Pro Bowler has played in all 12 of the Cowboys' games this season and ranks ninth in the NFL in receiving yards (928) and eighth among players at his position. Lamb is also 10th in receptions with 69 (eighth among wide receivers) and has hauled in six touchdowns.

He's been among the most targeted players in football, getting 111 looks entering Week 14, and has had a pair of 100-yard efforts in Dallas' last four games. Lamb set career highs with 11 receptions and 150 receiving yards in the team's Week 10 loss to the Green Bay Packers, a contest where he tied his career high with 15 targets and two touchdowns as well.

The Cowboys host the Houston Texans in Week 14 at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
