Watch: DeMarcus Ware asks Jerry Jones to be his Hall of Fame presenter

Former NFL linebacker DeMarcus Ware asked Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for a favor he couldn't refuse: to be his presenter when the Pro Hall of Fame enshrines him.

"You were the voice that welcomed me into the HOF, and I wanted to keep that going," Ware told Jones in a short video posted on the Cowboy's Twitter account.

Ware was referring to when Jones told the Cowboys' all-time sack leader he needed to book a trip to Canton, Ohio after the HOF unveiled its new members during Super Bowl weekend.

Subsequently, Ware's special request delighted Jones.

"I just can't tell what you what an honor it is," he told Ware. "It means more to me than being in the HOF because I know what you're a part of, and that's how I got into the HOF."

Ware is the fourth Cowboy to be presented by Jones, joining Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith and Larry Allen.

He deserves the honor because, through 12 seasons, he was one of the league's premier defensive players. The former first-round pick earned nine Pro Bowl nods, made First-Team All-Pro four times, was named to the All-'2000s team, and finished ninth all-time in sacks (138.5).

He was a champion, too. Alongside Von Miller, the 6-foot-4, 258-pound linebacker lifted the Broncos to their third Super Bowl title in 2016.

After Ware's induction on Aug. 5, Dallas will boast 32 members in the HOF, tied for third with the Commanders and Giants.
