No NFL player can match Marshawn Lynch’s iconic personality. But while his charisma can’t be matched, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf can do a pretty good impression of Lynch.

While Metcalf hasn’t spent a lot of time around Lynch, who only spent a few weeks at the end of the year with the Seahawks, he did an admirable job playing the character. During an interview with NFL Network, Metcalf described one of his first experiences with Lynch and shared the story in Lynch’s voice.

Not only is the impression hilarious, but the story itself is another wonderful example of Lynch’s persona. The 34-year-old running back took a year off from the NFL before suddenly coming back when the Seahawks desperately needed help at running back. While Lynch didn’t show any rust when he took the field in Week 17, he clearly needed some help when he practiced for the first time in ages.

Admittedly, Metcalf could still stand to improve his impression of Lynch. Fortunately, the door isn’t closed on Beast Mode returning to Seattle. While it might have to be another mid-season signing, let’s hope it happens. The Seahawks are more fun with Lynch and the NFL is more enjoyable when he speaks.
