Watch: Dolphins, Titans each commit turnovers in wild first-quarter sequence

The Dolphins and Titans exchanged gifts early on Monday night.

Miami began a wild first-quarter sequence with a goal-line fumble that ended its promising opening drive.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa fumbled the snap on a second-and-goal from Tennessee's 2-yard line but was able to recover the football. However, he didn't hold on to it for long as defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson quickly got to him, causing a fumble recovered by defensive end TK McLendon Jr.

On Tennessee's ensuing drive, quarterback Will Levis threw a pass directly at defensive tackle Zach Sieler on a third-and-11 that was returned five yards for a touchdown.

It was the third consecutive game the Dolphins defense scored a touchdown. The streak started with Jevon Holland's stunning 99-yard return on Tim Boyle's Hail Mary attempt for the Jets and continued last week when Andrew Van Ginkel returned an interception 33 yards against the Commanders.

The Dolphins were a 13.5-point favorite entering Monday night and moved the ball well against the Titans in the first quarter, gaining 119 yards on 17 plays.

The only thing that stopped Miami was itself. It might be the favorite in the entire AFC its defense continues to be as explosive as its offense.
