Watch: James Cook makes Cowboys defense look foolish on 24-yard TD
Buffalo Bills running back James Cook had just three career rushing touchdowns entering Sunday’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
That’s no longer the case after Cook gashed the Cowboys' third-ranked defense, making four defenders miss tackles as he cruised to an easy 24-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.
Cook cut past cornerback Eric Scott at the line of scrimmage before sprinting out of the reach of a diving defensive tackle Mazi Smith, juking safety Markquese Bell in the open field and finally outrunning cornerback DaRon Bland to the end zone.
It was just the fourth rushing touchdown of his career and Buffalo’s third rushing touchdown of the game. Dallas had allowed just 10 rushing touchdowns in its previous 13 games.
Sunday's win also marked the third 100-yard game of Cook’s career (he had 179 yards at time of publication). His other two both came this year as well in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos (109 yards) and Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders (123 yards).
