Watch: Jim Nantz hits Lions kicker with epic announcer's jinx

CBS announcer Jim Nantz hit Detroit Lions kicker Michael Badgley with an all-time announcer jinx on Thursday just before he missed a 29-yard field goal against the Buffalo Bills.

Nantz started his commentary by saying "do not even talk to me about the announcer's jinx" and went on to point out that Badgley had not missed a kick all season, making all of his field goal and extra point attempts for the Lions.

It was at that point that you just knew something bad was going to happen for the Lions.

It did.

Badgley ended up missing his 29-yard field goal for his first miss of the season.

Look, announcer jinxes are not real. The words of some guy sitting in a broadcast booth 100 feet away from the action do not have any real impact on the actions of players on the field.

But the timing of this is incredible.

And also hilarious.

Unless you are Michael Badgley
