Watch: Jordan Love throws ugliest, luckiest touchdown of young career
With his team trailing Denver by six points midway through the fourth quarter, quarterback Jordan Love tied the game with a play reminiscent of the ‘ol gunslinger.
Facing fourth-and-2 from Denver’s four-yard line, Love dropped back and delivered an awkward, sidearm strike to wide receiver Romeo Dobbs that would’ve made Brett Favre proud.
Unfortunately for Dobbs, he couldn’t secure the ball and watched helplessly as it bounced off his hands. Fortunately for rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed, Dobb’s ricochet bounced right into his hands for his third touchdown of the season.
The score put Green Bay up 17-16 with 6:29 left to play in the game, but the Broncos answered back with a field goal and an interception to seal the game just before the two minute warning.
Love finished the day with 80 yards passing, 21 yards rushing, two touchdowns and the late interception. Like his touchdown pass to Reed, he’ll look to rebound next week when the Packers face the Vikings at Lambeau Field.
