New Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones had missed two of the first five games of the season due to injury. The future Hall of Famer was in the starting lineup Monday night against an elite Buffalo Bills team.

To say that the Titans needed Jones to step up in this one would be an understatement. That’s exactly what happened with Tennessee down 13-7 in the second quarter.

The Titans were facing third-and-8 from their own 23-yard line and needed someone to make a play. Not only did Julio Jones do this, he might have put up one of the greatest catches in NFL history. That’s not hyperbole.

The ball bounced off the head of Bills safety Micah Hyde and was seemingly headed out of bounds. How Jones tracked it down and was still able to get two feet down is beyond comprehension.

This 48-yard completion on third and long helped set up a Titans field goal and make it a 13-10 game. It was also the second huge play of the game for Tennessee after Derrick Henry ripped off a 76-yard touchdown run of his own earlier in the second quarter.
