Watch: Packers QB Jordan Love throws 35-yard TD

Even though he's been erratic this season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is proving he has decent skills and can develop into a solid starter.

Against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the former first-round pick threw a 35-yard TD to wide receiver Jayden Reed, helping the Packers cut their deficit to 17-13.

The 25-year-old has been inconsistent in his first season as the starter. Entering Week 10, Love has completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 1,720 yards, 12 TDS, eight interceptions and a below-average 42.8 QBR.

Per ESPN.com, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst recently said Green Bay (3-5) still needs more time to evaluate if Love is the answer, and he's been "a little up and down" this season.

To prove he's a franchise QB, he must raise his game. Excelling against a solid defense is a good start. The Steelers (5-3) are 13th in the NFL in points allowed (20.4).
