Watch: Packers rookie WR Christian Watson drops no-doubt 75-yard TD

Let's hope that the old adage, 'you only get one chance to make a good first impression,' isn't true for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson.

The rookie wideout had a moment to forget early on during the Packers' season opener on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.

On Watson's first-career target from reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, disaster struck.

Watson got behind the Vikings' secondary and was home-free for a 75-yard touchdown as Rodgers floated a perfect pass his way. Though, instead of high-stepping into the end zone for his first NFL touchdown, Watson watched the ball fall through his hands, incomplete.

Rodgers looked understandably displeased with the drop, and you can be sure he'll remember it next time the Watson's open.

Head coach Matt LaFleur did go back to the rookie later, calling his number on a jet-sweep that gained seven yards.

The Packers drafted Watson in the second round (No. 34 overall) of this year's draft out of North Dakota State.

In four years with the Bison, Watson compiled 105 receptions for 2,142 yards and 14 touchdowns over 52 collegiate games.

Watson finished his final year at North Dakota State with career highs in receptions (43), yards (801), and touchdowns (7).
