The Kansas City Chiefs were without All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce during offseason practices, but on Wednesday he returned to the practice field. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was ecstatic about this development, to say the least.

Check out how Mahomes greeted Kelce.

Kelce was out of commission this offseason as he recovered from ankle surgery. He’s been cleared for training camp, however, and clearly his quarterback is elated to have him back.

It’s not hard to see why. Last year, the two combined for 103 receptions, 1,336 yards and 10 touchdowns. And for a few hours in Week 17, Kelce had the NFL record for most receiving yards in a single season by any tight end in history.
