The road to becoming a professional athlete is built with thousands of hours of work and countless support from friends and family. On Saturday, Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner gave his dad an early Father’s Day gift to show his appreciation for all his years of support.

Conner, who grew up in Pennsylvania with his family and spent his life dreaming of becoming a football star in Pittsburgh, is living his dream. So, after years of his dad helping him put in the work to get there, Conner made his father’s dream come true with a brand new truck.

The reaction is pure gold. Glen Connor can only stand there in shock at the sight of his new truck, seemingly unable to even believe it’s now his. After his son hugs him, Glen seems to think the truck belongs to his son. When it finally sinks in that the truck is his to drive, he is left speechless.

This is one of our favorite things about sports -- seeing the moment an athlete gives back to those closest to him or her, showing appreciation for all the support their family provided them over the years. Because Father’s Day is just around the corner, we can’t wait to see what other athletes do to thank their dads.
