Watch: Raiders DL ejected, nearly starts brawl for dirty, late hit on Justin Herbert

Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Jerry Tillery was ejected in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers for an egregiously late and dirty hit on quarterback Justin Herbert.

As Herbert was scrambling to his right and going out of bounds, Tillery came in at full speed and delivered a late, high hit to Herbert which sent the quarterback flying through the air.

Tillery, who was Herbert's teammate as recently as last season, never even showed any sign of slowing down even though it was clear the quarterback was going out of bounds.

It seemed like he went in with some real intent and knew exactly what he was doing.

The hit did not sit well with the Chargers bench, which immediately swarmed around Tillery and nearly kicked off a sideline brawl. If you are going to hit a quarterback that late, you definitely do not want to do it on his own sideline.

Aside from the personal foul penalty and the ejection, that is also the type of play that could result in a suspension from the NFL. It takes an awful lot to draw a suspension from the NFL, but something that late against one of the league's elite quarterbacks is the type of thing that could do it.
